Matt is a seasoned physician services and health plan strategist with a proven track record of driving performance through innovative solutions and operational excellence. He began his career in Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions for a high-growth physician services company before joining Humana, where he helped design and execute population health strategies focused on care delivery transformation, patient-centric health plan operations, and technology-enabled IPA MSO models to support independent physicians in value-based care.

 

He later joined Anthem-Elevance, leading initiatives in longitudinal patient engagement, payment innovation, network design, and benefit structuring across Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare lines of business. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President at Retina Consultants of America, the nation's largest retina-research and physician services organization, which transitioned ownership to Cencora in January 2025. His deep expertise in Medicare Advantage and senior-focused care delivery has also led him to support startups specializing in virtual medicine, remote patient monitoring, care-at-home, and technology-enabled practice optimization.

 

A recognized thought leader in healthcare innovation, Matt frequently presents to private equity and consulting groups on industry trends and efficiencies. He has also taught Health Law and Policy at The University of Texas McCombs School of Business. Matt earned his BA from The George Washington University, JD from Elon University School of Law, and a Transnational Law Certificate from Duke Law. He lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife, Jill, their four children, and their miniature dachshunds, Reese and Riley.
